3 nights Grande Comore, Comoros

Stay along the east coast and close to the capital town of Moroni. For accommodation: Aside from a couple of expensive hotels (we would not recommend to stay there), you want to check what AirBnB offers or stay in one of the few guest houses. We can recommend "Le Jardin de La Paix" guest house: Good location in Moroni, decent price and basic, but clean rooms - excellent restaurant. Do not miss your day trip to Galawa Beach, the best beach on the island, near the town of Mitsamiouli. It's truly paradise! Book a driver with car for the day (you can drive yourself too, but not recommended due to many potholes). You may also extend your stay and do an overnight trip to the volcano. 1 night Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania

Not much to see, but great to get an insight for one day/night into Tanzania's capital city. Surprisingly clean, we enjoyed getting to see local life at the market. There also is a rooftop bar serving as a lookout point with pretty good views over the city. Check it out, it's called High Spirit Bar. We can recommend to stay at The Slow Leopard hostel - nice rooms and good vibes. Take a flight the next morning to Zanzibar!

4 nights Zanzibar, Tanzania

You can stay much longer if you like to relax. Beaches and water colours are amazing! We stayed North at The Z Hotel which I can highly recommend. One of the best price-values I have seen - not super cheap, but really worth it. Plenty of food options at Nungwi Beach. After the adventure in Comoros Islands, this is the right place to relax before flying back home!
